About Dr. Emrich
Dr. Katherine Emrich received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences, in Lombard Illinois and earned her Bachelors of Science from Bradley University, in Peoria Illinois. While in Chiropractic school, she completed internships at Salvation Army, in Chicago, Illinois and Roudebush VA Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Emrich is passionate about educating patients on how to help themselves get out of pain and improve body mechanics to prevent reoccurrence of issues. She uses exercise focused rehabilitation to improve core stability and joint centration.
Dr. Emrich views the doctor-patient relationship as a team, both individuals are equally involved in helping the patient achieved his/her health goals. Dr. Emrich is McKenzie Method (MDT) Certified. Dr. Emrich’s manual manipulation skills are founded through the principles of Motion Palpation Institute (MPI). She also has completed extensive additional course work in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) programs to expand her knowledge of functional rehabilitation.
In her free time, Dr. Emrich enjoys walking her 2 dogs, training at her CrossFit gym and having game nights with her family. Her parents are on the founding board of Safe Haven Dog Rescue in Elburn, and she spends her weekends volunteering.
