Comprehensive Nutrient Testing in Chicago

Comprehensive Nutrient Testing in Chicago

If your body could tell you exactly what it needs in terms of micronutrients and vitamins, wouldn’t you want to hear it?

Comprehensive Nutrient Testing provides individuals with a personalized nutrition assessment and the information you need to be your healthiest. Comprehensive Nutrient Testing can help unlock optimal health for anyone seeking to live a healthier lifestyle – whether you are seeking preventative health care or currently battling a chronic condition.

Comprehensive Nutrient Testing for Preventative Health and Lifestyle

You may already be living what you consider a fairly healthy lifestyle or you simply want the most accurate and fundamental picture of your health. Nutrient testing plays a key role in optimizing health and preventing disease. Nutrient deficiencies are surprisingly common and may impact your health in a variety of ways. From the immune system to hormonal balance, micronutrients play a key role in maintaining your bodies health. If you are experiencing unresolved or undiagnosed symptoms, nutrient testing can provide a closer look at underlying deficiencies.

Comprehensive Nutritional Testing can also diagnose and treat nutritional risk factors in chronic diseases. There is “overwhelming evidence confirming that nutrient deficiencies have been shown to suppress immune function contributing to chronic disease process including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis and Alzheimer’s.”

Comprehensive Nutrient Testing for Treatment of Chronic Conditions

Nutrient testing serves as a diagnostic tool for those suffering from chronic conditions. Nutrient testing can help those who are looking for a root cause with additional treatment options and nutritional guidance. Nutrient testing offers a complete picture of what is happening in your body. Chronic health problems and symptoms like autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, IBS, migraine, asthma, allergies, hormonal imbalances, insomnia, and weight challenges can all be better managed with the information gained from nutrient testing.

What is Nutrient Testing?

At Aligned Modern Health we test our patients using a micronutrient testing panel. The patient’s score is a way to measure or evaluate the patient’s cell-mediated immune system performance. If the patient has a micronutrient deficiency, this will undermine the patient’s immune function and ultimately lower the score.

This test specifically measures T-cell lymphocyte proliferation, with a higher score desired since the score is a measure of response to threats such as pathogens, allergens or even tumors. The immune system, when balanced and performing optimally, affords us critical protection and promotes health and wellness.

Balancing Nutrient Levels with Functional Medicine

At Aligned Modern Health, our Functional Medicine doctors will assess which diagnostic test is best to test your personal nutrient levels and then build you a unique road map to help achieve your goals. You can learn more about our functional medicine services by booking an appointment here.

Since our immune systems are dependent on the function and availability of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, the micronutrient deficiency test can help with clinical benefits, such as reducing infections and assisting in Th1/Th2 balance. Fasting is not required for this test, which consists of collecting two 8.5 ml ACD yellow top tubes of blood. Results, which are delivered via postal mail or electronically, are typically available within 10 to 14 business days.
