About Dr. Rejano
Dr. Jason Rejano DC graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Movement Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his doctorate in Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Rejano became interested in chiropractic after working at the hospital in an ICU setting. He felt the traditional medical setting was impersonal. From that point he knew his calling was to work with patients in a preventative and holistic setting where he could work hand in hand with his patients to improve their overall physical health and lifestyle. Due to his background in dance and sports, he enjoys treating athletes and teaching them injury prevention. Through years of experience, he can see the patient’s whole story, goals, and guide them to a path of living a healthier life. Continuing his education is a priority and he is always striving to provide patients with the most up-to-date treatments!
Jason’s clinical interests include orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries and return to activity, spinal cord disc issues, and working with pregnant mothers pre- and post- partum.
Q&A with Dr. Rejano
What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
I have grown to really love working with endurance athletes and pregnant patients. Both groups are always so motivated to really work on themselves and it is amazing to see the progression through their treatments.
I have always loved dance since I was a teenager, and I can still throw down on the dance floor, but recently I have really tried to expand my cooking skills and try new techniques.
What three traits define you?
Patient, Kind, Extrovert
What are you surprisingly good at?
Gardening, I have developed a green thumb over the years!
How long have you been working in your field?
9 years
What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?
I have patients that travel out of state and many of my new patients are referrals from past patients.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
Not weird, but funny. I worked at Hollister for one summer.
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
How to continue the activities they love without ever restricting them.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
Anyone who wants to learn and be accountable for their health. I make it a point to educate the patient on what is going on and help them understand their specific issues and how to assess themselves. They should connect with me because I help elevate them to a much higher quality of activity if they are willing to work for it.
In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?
Never lie to a patient. Always be realistic to the patient’s goals but never be the block to achieving them.
Do you have any other passions or personal goals that you would like to share?
I love to travel and want to continue to visit as many countries as possible
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
My wife and I love to travel and hang out with our two dogs! They are so much fun and living life with them has only gotten better.
Hobbies: Cooking, Gardening, Dancing, and I love to read comic books (DC>Marvel in comics) (Marvel>DC in movies)
Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.
I used to be on a competition dance team, and I used to teach cotillions and wedding dances.
