Q&A with Dr. Spencer
What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
Professionally, I am passionate about learning and helping women optimize their hormones. I personally experienced hormone and nutrient imbalance while in Chiropractic school, which greatly impacted my quality of life. Fortunately, I was able to identify the cause of my dysfunction and I love helping others do the same.
What three traits define you?
Humble, Compassionate, and Inquisitive.
What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?
I have a strong commitment to serving others. During my time in chiropractic school, I traveled to Nicaragua and Haiti to provide natural medicine and education to underserved communities. I found these trips incredibly rewarding and look forward to participating in similar initiatives again, whether abroad or within local underserved areas.
What are you surprisingly good at?
I am surprisingly good at endurance sports. I was a gymnast growing up and a sprinter in high school, so completing 3 half-marathons and an 80 mile charity ride in the mountains was a big deal for me.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
My family, which is my support system, and running.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
Becoming and a doctor and creating a wonderful family.
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
The underlying reason(s) for hormone and gut dysfunction.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
My ideal client is someone who believes they have the power to change their health and is willing to take an active role in that process.
In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made/followed?
Listening to understand is really important to me. When people feel heard, understood, and seen a space for healing is created.
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
I like to run, do gymnastics on trampolines (because I am older now), spend time outside with my family, watch movies, travel, and eat delicious food.
Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.
I am a 3rd generation Chiropractor. My uncle, who is a retired chiropractor, had a lot to do with inspiring my career.
