Q&A with Alex
What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
I am passionate about food of course! And getting my nutrition in both a delicious and healthy way. Our lives revolve around food (eating, planning what/when/where to eat, grocery shopping, etc.) so having fun with it and trying new recipes/restaurants while considering nutrition is something I love and the reason I became a dietitian.
What three traits define you?
Determined, self-reliant, & always looking to learn.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
Exercise. It is my free therapy.
How long have you been working in your field?
I have six years of education and supervised training and am an entry level RD. AMH is the perfect place to expand my knowledge!
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
Finishing my Master’s degree and passing my state boards all while in the midst of a pandemic.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
Someone who is open to the idea of trying new foods. Previously being a picky eater myself, I have grown to love trying new foods and consider it a hobby. Trusting the process and being open minded when working with an RD is key.
In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?
I do not believe in banning foods from a diet in a long-term sense. Food is an outlet where we can express our personality and interests. With that said, my goal is to improve your nutrition while considering your favorite types of food.
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
I am a certified USA Gymnastics instructor and love to tumble. In my spare time I go to the gym and keep up with my tumbling skills!
Everyone here is so kind and knowledgeable! I have never loved any healthcare location like I love Aligned Modern Health!
