Q&A with Raquel
What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
I am passionate about self-development and self-improvement in both my professional and personal life. I am happiest when I am learning new things and coming up with ways to improve efficiency in those processes.
What three traits define you?
I am dependable, attentive to detail, and personable.
What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?
I love to organize things, especially spatially.
What are you surprisingly good at?
I am surprisingly good at fitting a lot of items into a small space neatly. After 6 years in the grocery business I can look at a pile of items and determine whether they will fit into a grocery bag (or small space) before I attempt to organize them.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
I could not live without music.
What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?
The biggest proof that I’m good at what I do is the consistent advancement I achieve within each company I am a part of.
How long have you been working in your field?
I have been working in the customer service field for 22 years.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
I am proud of all the personal growth that I’ve made in my life through self-improvement (mentally and physically) and how that has led to a greater understanding of myself and others.
How does your education connect to your personal career? What about personal experiences?
Psychology connects to my professional career/personal life in many ways. Having a better understanding of myself allows me to better understand and empathize with others regardless of how similar or different we may be. Understanding what makes people tick helps me offer top tier customer service in a personalized way based on peoples’ various personalities, wants, and needs.
What are you complimented on most in your work?
I am often complimented on the neatness of my work, my attention to detail, and my positive attitude in tough situations.
Who is your ideal client and why should they connect with you?
Everyone is an ideal client in their own unique way. I have learned that most people have something valuable to bring to the table and when you focus on that instead of your differences great things often occur!
In your work or creative process what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made? Which ones do you follow?
I value hard work, integrity, and communication in my work/creative process. I have made it a personal rule to be flexible, learn to adapt to new things with an open mind, and to view failure as an opportunity to learn and evolve.
Do you have any family members or pets to include in your bio?
I live with my beautiful wife Kelly and our two pets Wilde the tabby cat and Izzy the dachshund/terrier mix. Kelly and I are pregnant and are expecting our first child in January 2022.
Do you have any other passions or personal goals that you would like to share?
I am passionate about animal advocacy.
What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?
In my spare time I love to ride my bike, take long walks with my wife by the lake, read books, partake in creative activities (such as drawing, painting, and embroidery), and cook new and interesting dishes.
Share something unique that most people don’t know about you.
I’m an animal empath: I make immediate connections with most animals I encounter, and often find them following me around shortly after our initial greeting!
