About Dr. Tatsuguchi-Ongcal, DC

Dr. Nicole Tatsuguchi-Ongcal graduated with a BS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in physiology from High Point University in North Carolina. After undergrad, she returned home to Illinois and got her doctoral degree of Chiropractic medicine from National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Tatsuguchi-Ongcal is most interested in helping people live a healthier lifestyle, including optimizing athletic performance, injury prevention, and prenatal care, offering tailored treatments for all patients. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, and spending time with her husband and two cats.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally I am interested in sports medicine and prenatal care. Personally I am passionate about tennis and pickleball.

What would you do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

Animal Shelter worker

Mini golf

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

My kindle

What’s the biggest proof that you’re good at what you do?

I have been able to successfully treat under preceptorship and my clinicals at school.

What’s your biggest accomplishment?

Graduating from DC school.

What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

Lifeguard

What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?

The source of their pain or how to get people out of pain and maintain it.

Who is your ideal client and how should they connect with you?

Athletes because that is the area that I have researched the most and am planning on going further into that field.

In your work or creative process, what concepts are sacred? Which rules have you made, which ones do you follow?

Always finish what you started with same level of effort from start to finish.

Do you have any other passions of personal goals that you would like to share?

I’d like to start running twice a week and maintain this into the future and build up the speed and distance I am able to run

What do you do for fun in your spare time? What are your hobbies?

Tennis, pickleball and reading.

I have twin siblings and that runs in my family.
